Delete Your Account — Sanatani App

This page explains how you can request deletion of your Sanatani account and the personal data associated with it. Infopiy (the developer of Sanatani) honours every verified deletion request in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and Google Play policy.

Note: Sanatani works without any login — most users are anonymous and store data only on their own device. You only have an account with personal details (name, email, photo) if you chose to Sign in with Google inside the app. This page lets you delete that account and any data linked to it.

1. How to request deletion

To delete your account and associated data, send us an email:

Open your email app and send a message to infopiyofficial@gmail.com.
Use the subject line: Delete My Account - Sanatani.
In the body, include the email address you used to sign in with Google (if you signed in), or your anonymous User ID.
Your User ID is visible in the app under Account → About.
Send the email. We will confirm within 48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days.

Prefer to do it inside the app?

If you signed in with Google, you can also open Account in the app and sign out to stop any further data collection. Emailing us as above is required to permanently erase the stored account data.

2. What data is deleted

When we process a verified deletion request, we permanently delete the following personal data associated with your account:

3. What data is kept, and for how long

After deletion, we do not retain your personal data except where the law requires it:

Anonymised, aggregated statistics (cannot identify you)	Retained indefinitely
Records we are legally obliged to keep (e.g. fraud, legal, tax)	Only for the minimum period required by Indian law, then deleted
Backup copies	Purged on the normal backup rotation, within 30 days

Data stored only on your own device (such as completed tasks) is removed when you uninstall the app.
